Eeeek! What did I just hatch?

I had a dark female (LTC) which I thought to be special. I figured she was axanthic if anything. The plan was, breed my pastel to her, make a "het-axanthic" pastel, breed back to mom and make an axanthic pastel in a few years. I almost choked when I saw this animal hatch!



Looks like the mother is genetic, and the cross looks somewhat similar to a pewter, but it is different. However the mother does not look like a cinnamon or black pastel in any way.



Hoping for a super in the next few years!



I'm planning to call the female's genetics Espresso, and this particular animal an Espresso Pastel.
