Josh, you have good points and an intelligent reply it was. For now I will keep the name Espresso so it can be identified, however, if it does prove to be something that already exists, I'll adopt the name of whatever it is and tag my company name on it. If it's something new, I'll keep the name.
Thanks for the comments and interest!
Bristen.
>>That is your right to do so. the only reason that I am an advocate of completely proving out a trait and if it already exists just adding your name or company name is for ease of marketing. It is alot easier for someone to market let's just say a new line of black pastel by adding their name versus calling it "john doe snake" for the simple reason that everyone instantly knows that a black pastel's super is the black ball. I can completely understand the desire to name a new possible morph but what if that is the axanthic you thought it was? Perhaps the person that you bought your pastel from had used some super low % het axanthic's and you got lucky and your pastel is het for the same type of axanthic? Now you have named an axanthic something totally different and causes more confusion. Granted proving a trait out completely, especially when starting with a female could take a long time, but that is what this biz is about, being here for the long haul. Granted it will be cool to have a co-dom axanthic as that is what the female does look like so best of luck with this project, that baby does look kick a$$.
