I know he's not a python, I've had corn snakes before but my vet specifically told me that he's only allowed to have a meal that is the same size as his widest point. So we've been progressing slowly. he's extremely healthy he always sheds in one complete piece, never has a problem eating and I never have a problem with attitude, so far, but he's just slow to grow bigger around. worries me but hopefully i can say he's just a slow leaper or something....
