He can actually handle more. 1-1 1/2 his size is a good rule of thumb though. Most corn snakes grow long and then out (from my experience) Hope is roughly 3' and about as thick as my thumb. My 05 black rats are about 2 1/2' long and MAYBE as thick as my pinky. It all depends on the individual snake. I will add though that yours does seem on the thin side. Try bumping him up a notch on the food scale and see how he does. It will probably give him a growth spurt. I recently moved Chunk from mice hoppers to rat fuzzies in hopes that he will put on some size before breeding season. ----- 0.1 Snow Corn "Hope"
