I have small square gladware containers in my incubator with vermiculite and I am on a schedule that every 4th day I spritz with lids with water to keep it moist. Well yesterday was the day so I spritzed. One of the babies that was born last night is very tiny and still has his egg sack attached. Because the vermiculite was damp it had stuck all over him. I took another gladware container, put damp paper towels in it, Then took the little guy put him in a very little bit of water to wash off the vermiculite and put him in the container with the paper towels and put him back in the incubator. Did I do the right thing?? He looks so little and tired. How long will it take for the egg sack to absorb or come off. Sorry so long. |
