We acquired a large group of the Corn island boas when they were first brought in. These are very beautiful snakes and as those of us who have worked with them know, their uniqueness goes well beyond only how they look. I have successfully bred multiple pairings of these imports beginning in 2000. Of those litters two rather distinct groups have emerged. The first group is what I refer to as a 'standard' Corn island boa.

.

Here below is a birth image from this year of one of my 'standard' litters..

.

.

.. this next is one of those 'standard' babies at age three weeks..

.

.

The second group is subtly more colourful, lacks most of the lighter inclusions in the dorsal saddles and has a lower average saddle count which produces an overall different look. They are different from birth.. take a look at this litter from a few weeks ago..

.

.

... and here's an example of one of those beauties at age about 3 weeks.

.

.

Thanks for looking.
