High white/Low white pieds

I thought the variation in the amount of white that these clutch mates show was interesting. Some breeders of Amazon Basin Emeralds used to speculate that the amount of white on offspring was random rather than influenced by the parents. This proved to be incorrect as high white adults consistently produced high white offspring. However the amount of white in Pieds does seem to be a random occurance. This particular clutch from a Pied male bred to a het/pied female produced high, low and medium white. The moral of the story seems to be that low white are still valuable as breeders.
