A while back...

...I came up with a theory about the het. Piebald "markers" actually influencing the amount of white seen on homozygous piebalds.



I'm starting to think that the genes responsible for the marker trait may also influence other traits. Somewhat similar to the way that the Yellow Belly gene(s) seem to "exaggerate" any trait they are combined with. Perhaps, the Pied Marker gene and the Yellow Belly genes are related somehow?
