Absolutely I think it is a dominant trait. It is a genetic black back. I have a line of them, their is no super so far and I look forward to producing pastel black backs next year. It isn't the same as a het red and they are no where near the cost of a het red, if I had paid the price of a het red only to get a genetic black back that could be had for 1/10th the cost I'd be mad!! It would be like buying het caramel albino's and only recieving het albinos . Apples and oranges man.
