Another thing to try is get some mineral oil and coat your snake. Not where it is dripping off, but a light coat. What this does is sufficates the mites b/c they are coated with the oil. Be careful of the mouth, eyes and pits. Also, look around your snakes eyes, mites are known for living and breeding around the eyes. A trip to the vet and a shot of ivermectin will also do the trick. Our jungle/diamond cross had them when we bought him. Yes, mites have been known to cause a snake not to eat. They can also cause a bad shed. Good luck.
