That is so sad. I am sorry!
I opened up my incubator the other day
to find two clutches hatching.
On one group of five, four were completely
out and one egg was just sitting there.
I picked it up and there was a hole on the
underside, near the front of the egg.
I could see the yolk sac and what seemed to
be a huge leg. I poked the leg several
times and there was no movement. So I decided
to gently open the egg, starting at the hole.
I found a dead baby with a perfect face, but with
a severely deformed shell. One front leg was unusually
large and the one on the other side seemed underdeveloped
so I don't know what happened. I've got it in the fridge
and I'll try to take a photo of it.
