I recommend 2 solid year before females are bred. Most my females have their first litter around 20 inches and 2-3 year old.

Last year I had 2 females(both 2 years old) that bred for the first time. One had 7 babies and one have 9. This year those same 2 females with additional size and weight have 15 and 13 babies.

There is a strong correlation with health/size and number of babies.

In my opinion, I would wait another year, but it is up to you.

Chris
