The fact that the gecko couldn't keep the mealworms down at all should have resulted in an immediate trip to the vet. Geckos throwing up is not in any way normal. If it is not too late, and it very well might be depending on the age of the gecko and amount of tail fat left since you have waited so long, the gecko should be taken to a vet that has experience with reptiles without delay.
