I want to thank all of you for the great advice given!!! I don't know what version of BD he is, but will post a picture sometime this week. I need to get the puter ready to accept pictures. You can answer the question of what kind of BD for me at that time LOL. I do have a digital camera, but haven't had a chance to download the utilities yet to this new puter. Ok, back to BD, he seems to be mellowing out now. Can a different UBV light, and wax worms make that much of a difference???? He doesn't like the canned food the pet store sales lady suggested, however. He no longer hisses at my hand on the tank, or when I stick my hand in to give him clean water... or move his log (branched log) any more. So then, when I get the sand cleaned out of there, and somehow clean him up a bit (more advice needed in this area too), I'll be able to gauge what his true colors are. Yep it was calci sand, so will discard that tonight, and lay down his new repti carpet. Again thanks for the advice. And strange, I still haven't found that one web site I got directed to that said the bite is venomous. When I find it again, I'll include it. Huggs, Bekka
