OMG Please HELP!!!

Ok so I was watching Star Trek TNG holding my new garter snake and it gave birth in my hands! I didn't even know it was gravid! It had some sbumps on the right side though. I'm a cornsnake guy so i thought it'd be months before it could spawn. It shot out one worm sized baby. What can I expect? Will there be more? Plus the one that came out isn't moving that much is it normal? It had a yellowish puss around the buttocks when it was birthing.
