Opaque and due to give birth update:

I had a female Peruvian Red Tail I posted regarding the fact that she had turned opaque while due to give birth. She was due July 26th and shed July 28th without having given birth yet. I have never had a female go through a she cycle when she was actually due to give birth. A first time for everything I guess. I'll have to add another chapter to the Boa Breeding thing. Anyhow, on July 31st she had 13 wonderful little Peruvians! Peruvians are my favorite. I just love these little guys:

I left Mom in with them to see what she would do. They were three days old before I removed her. She just hung out to protect the little guys. Nobody was smashed. They would all hang out together. Generally with the babies between the coils down in where I could not see them. Otherwise I would have been able to get some good pictures of them. As it turned out, it was really neat for me to see how they acted. Mom and babies were all in the same spot together most of the time. Very cute! Now I can't wait till they shed!
