P/K or pre-killed usually don't have to be heated up as they should be freshly killed. However, F/T or frozen/thawed should be thoroughly thawed and then heated to between 95F and 99F. Thaw the prey item by either leaving it out at room temps or put in warm water. There are various ways to heat them back up. You can place them under a low wattage heat lamp, on a heating pad or blanket, or even a hair dryer. My balls are picky and only eat thier rats dry so I put a little effort into it and dry them off or you can place the prey item in a ziplock and place them in warm water.

As far as the numbers that we use with our animals...it works like this.

1.2.3

1 male

2 female

3 unsexed

For example my Het Albino pair with be represented as such:

1.1 since I have a male and a female.

Hope that helps,

Dathan
