Monitor can be very stressful when it comes to changing its surrounding; they prefer rutine. Anything out of the ordinary they know it, and they become very stress. So I would suggest leaving it alone first before you try to feed it or looking at it. Make sure it has a large water dish, large enough for it to soak in, so it can take a drink if it wants.
