Hi, sorry to hear about your chameleons not feeling well First I would like to say I do not have jacksons, only werneri, and panthers, and you probably should speak to someone more knowledgable on jacksons.
May get better results by posting on the general chameleon page, more traffic right now , been slow , vacations and such.
But I can tell you a couple things. Yes, you should get these two seperated, it may be really stressing the female out as they normally live singularly, very territorial. Her dark color may be suggesting that.
Also the rocking back and forth as you put it (Swaying) is normal, they do this so as to appear as a "leaf" that is moving/blowing back and forth trying to blend in and not be seen by any preditors.
** The fact your female is hanging from her branch and looks to be so weak is Not a good sign, I have lost a female werneri lately who did the same thing. I would not use a tank as you were saying. They need a screen enclosure, plenty of ventalation.
I'm also not to sure the fountain is a good idea, but I will leave that for other more experienced keepers to debate.
I'm terribly sorry about your chameleons and hope that when you seperate them they will perk up for you. Please let us know how they are.
And try and stop by the general chameleon forum and ask for jackson help, wish I could have been more help myself. ----- PHEve / Eve
