I had the same thing happen, nbut I didn't even leave lol. One of my males that was mabey a little older than a year just suddenly would strike at me when he didn't used to. ??? Don't know why and he kinda calmed down but sometimes he just doesn't want to let me touch him.

If its real important to you to have a calm boa thean all I can say is try to hadle him a decent amount every week, and maybe feed him outside of his cage. Good luck.
