Not a sign of sickness, but it is a sign of something. Maybe your friend was mean to him? Maybe he just had bad vibes as far as snake was concerned. If that happened to me, I would never let that person near my snake again. My advice is handle that snake twice a day everyday until it is calm when handled again (except for two days after eating and when it's in a shed cycle). Just like you're probably planning.

BTW your daytime highs are also not high enough unless you have an additional hot spot for basking. The high should be 88-90, and the hot spot can be as hot as 95.
