The side medallions may have white in a sunglow if the het or DH that produced it had black in those areas. The only way that I could see that to be true is from two DH that had no black in their medallions.
The traits people always point out are the lack of white rings in the tail blotches above the vent. The blotches on the tail itself often have white rings just as F1 Hypos often have Black rings there. In extreme Sunglows they have no white rings around their tail blotches.
Also, pinched saddles are usually a characteristic, especially with Salmon blood. That and the outlines where the traits that made picking out the Hypo Snow from a Snow so easy.
Some C.A. or selectively bred Hypo lines do not have pinched saddles, and I have seend Ghosts and Sunglows with broad thick saddles.
