I currently breed and feed discoids, but I still might be able to help you! I keep mine in a big plastic container, much like what people use for leo's in rack systems. I put in some newspaper to give them some places to hide, and make sure to give them food maybe once a week, clean out the container every couple of months. For better breeding results, my understanding is warmer temps = faster growth, more breeding, etc. You can feed them just about whatever, and they will eat it. But of course, your herps are what they eat, so I usually just feed them cricket gutload, and that seems to keep them held over just fine. I hope that was some help! I think Big Apple herps has some stuff on their website that might be able to help as well. Good luck!
