Keeping hots in NC

I read that i only needed a permit to keep indigenous NC rattlesnakes and the eastern coral snake here, but the website said that it could have changed and didnt really say anything about other venomous snakes, i was wondering if anyone here, since this seems like a more reliable site, knows if its legal to keep hots in NC. ive never had any venomous but have had plenty of experience with snakes. i probably wont have any anytime soon, but i would like to start with eyelash vipers, are these good for a first venomous specices. i eventually want to work up to rhino vipers

thanks for any help and or input.
