Posted by: ajfreptiles at Fri Aug 11 10:19:33 2006 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by ajfreptiles ] Pastels are Polygenic....one way I know to explain is the pastel trait is like rungs on a ladder...(I hope I spelled that right)...But when you breed a Pastel to a normal or non-pastel...I seriously doubt you would get even 50% pastels....Unless the rungs were present but somehow not being visually expressed. The Pastel trait is built by selective breeding...like putting on layers of paint on a project...through many breedings the animals get refined. [ Hide Replies ]
