I apologize if I sounded like I was questioning your experience or diligence in keeping your collection safe and healthy...really didn't mean to at all.
If the vet idea doesn't work for you...do have a friend who you trust that would be willing to house them? Granted, I'm not sure what this would mean to you as far as the quarantine period goes...but if you trust that they have a clean space where the animal would not pick up anything "new" you should still be able to observe for anything they are currently harboring, which, in effect, is the point of the quarantine to begin with.
Otherwise, I really don't have any other suggestions for you at this time. Sorry.
I'm surprised no one else has offered any suggestions. Surely someone else has been in this type of situation before.
