buying "as young as possible a snake" is not a good idea IMO



you want a snake that is establised, IE shed and had a few meals



IMO if you go for a younger snake a redtail will feed better for you.



not to discount the royal they can be great initial feeders too, but not as often as boas IMO.



You didn't give much info, so I don't know what your experience is with snakes.



so if you have researced and understand care for both:



if you need a very young go boa, if you get an established snake both are equal. IMO
