Why don't you try buying straight from dragon's den? Usually, on always, but usually breeders sell their lower quality babies to petstores. They pick the least colorful and smallest of their clutches and they sell them all together for a cheap "lot" price. I do not know that this is the case, and young dragons sometimes mature into "swans". But that is just my openion. I also refuse to buy from people who give an example picture, and pictures of the parents and a generic price. I have never had a clutch that I could sell that way. Each lizard is unique, there can be normals to screamers in one clutch....and they will definatly sell you the normals first. I only buy when I can see the picture of the lizard I am going to buy.
Why don't you buy from someone off of this list that you "know." DragonsbyNature has a pretty female, and JoelR has some wonderful dragons for sell as well (I just bought one from him!!) Hope you guys don't mind me advertising for you..
or go to: http://market.kingsnake.com/index.php?cat=51
$149 is too much to pay for a dragon you have never seen.
BTW: Here is the dragon I just bought from JoelR. You guys have already seen him below as just a head sticking up outta the sand, but here is the other picture. He is arriving on Tuesday! I can't wait.
