2 years ago I bought my pair from Ben Segal, I was so impressed by them when I saw another for sale I contacted the seller Kevin Barnet of ectothermics this is a copy of his reply This is Costa male 10.04 or COS.M10.04. He is captive bred from the
serpentarium (Zoocriadero World Snakes) in Grecia Costa Rica and was a part
of 2 batches of zoo animals I had brought in over the last year to begin our
own locality Costa Rican breeding project. I would guess his age at 6 months or so, but or older animals of this type haven't lost any of their color.
There seem to be at least 2 forms. The Western form typical of animals from
the pacific side around Playa Hermosa and the central form which may be more eastern from around Grecia like this one.. 1 zookeeper claims both are found scattered indiscriminately while the other recognises the separate forms and says there may be a third.
