"Not good for snakes though. All including corns, Sinaloans, even shovelnose were portrayed as highly aggressive, venemous creatures that hate humans."
Which is why I refuse to see it.
As an educator I am mortified at the amount of "education" people (especially kids) recieve from movies and tv (excluding Animal Planet and documentaries of course).
I can guarantee with 100% certainty that there WILL be people stupid enough to think that film is correct and complain about one of use owning a colorful milksnake that was "OBVIOUSLY poisonous" since it was on the movie. Or better yet, some moron is gonna start killing every cornsnake he sees because of it.
We might not hear about it, but I'm sure we all know there are alot of dumb people out there.
I have no problem with badly written films (obviously being written badly on purpose)...hell, I love old godzilla movies and such, but when someone doesn't give a damn about the message they are sending (especially when it undermines something else) then I have a problem.
I might as well make a movie about Adolf Hitler being "a wacky, fun-loving, life-of-the-party kind of guy, who was just misunderstood"...I bet I could get Tom Green to play the title role. I could make a fortune...
