This is why you should NOT buy from a pet store. I would suggest that when you bring the new one home you follow all of the suggestions in the above posts for getting him extra calcium BEFORE the symptoms appear. These two dragons had the same care, so I am sure he needs the calcium...depending on how long he has been at that petstore there may be permanent damage done that will not appear until he is an adult. There can be damage with no external symptoms at first. You should super dust his crickets with RepCal with Vit D3. Do not use any other brand of calcium. To superdust a cricket I wet the cricket before dropping it in calcium. You can also mix about .5 cc of repcal with 3cc of dragon pellet formula and feed him that from a syringe. The hood you are using, is that the one where the lights face eachother? Those are terrible because they do not have a focused basking spot, but they just heat the whole tank. You want the lights to point down directly at the basking spot so that it is the only place reaching such a high temperature. | ||
