I just saw the movie last night. Whether it's good or not is a matter of whether you think the concept itself is funny enough to carry the whole thing. I thought it should have been campier.

I was not disturbed by *most* of the violence toward snakes in the movie, since it was so cartoonish and silly--CGI cobras getting tased and stuff like that. In one scene, though, somebody picks up a milk snake (obviously intended to look like something venomous), throws it in a microwave, and cooks it till it explodes. Though it's obviously not a real snake in there, this scene brought to mind all those horrible newspaper articles you read about teenagers torturing cats and gerbils. I would be surprised if some sickos somewhere didn't try this one out after seeing the movie.
