as i type now i cannot find your name & i was not about to click back and loose a bunch of time...sorry. everyone is upset about what i see in your snake and thats fine, however how am i hating when im being told that im "smoking something" or mocked about my opinion. i live in south florida, gateway to 90% of all surinames into this country, surinames happen to be my favorite reptile period....and for the life of me swear on whatever is holy i have never seen one that did not have a redtail, some darker red, some lighter almost gatorade orange but never any browning like that found in colombian, venezuelan, c.a. or short tailed boas.....never! please someone show me how to post, so this old timer can show some few in my present collection which i will state in advance are nothing like what steve hammond, steve mui, jessie black & others were breeding in the 80's i dont know what the hell happened to the best stuff. bob futo, kevin miller and mike eckert today are close though. back to the subject, on that particular male there was browning...simple as that. now everyone is stating that its a freak snake, i may have missed the thread, however when i first saw this animal it was being presented as a prime example of what a suriname should look like and i had to disagree. if you like it for a freak thats fine, im not hating the snake i just felt that it was something i was not going to not call on because of what i saw & have seen. guys im not at all upset, nor hating however what am i "smoking" when im simply stating the truth from working with them since a kid visiting bill haast's serpentarium here in miami...does anyone on this thread know who he is/was? although im dating myself let me just state im only 32 so no one thinks im an old folgy. i know many a terrific breeder that intentionally or unintentionally put their peruvian, guyanan, suri and & other true redtails in with super colombians back in the day because either their male would not court or the female would not be receptive. for all those that breed true redtails you know you better be doing it as a hobby and not full time because they are as reliable breeders as yugos were cars. much love to all and peace, excuse any harsh words or any feelings that were hurt by my words..but i have a right to give my side and back up my words...no?
