Well, weight isn't everything when it comes to breeding:
Males are ready to breed once they start producing sperm plugs. However, that doesn't necessarily mean a snake will start breeding females once he starts producing sperm plugs because he may be too immature to fully understand the "mechanics" of breeding. So, look for sperm plugs before you start putting a male with females but don't be surprised if you don't see him locking up with the ladies right away.
Females should be large enough to breed once they are in the 1500g range but again, just because a female reaches that weight, doesn't mean she'll necessarily produce eggs for you. She won't breed until she is mature enough to do so. As the previous poster said, most females achieve the proper weight AND sexual maturity by their third winter.
Hope this helps ----- John Scully
