I usually just grab them if they're not the venomous kind. You'll probably get bit that way though. You can always buy some snake tongs and do it that way. If your not sure what it is I wouldn't mess with it. It's not going to bother you. If fact it's probably eating all the things like mice and rats that are more dangerous to you than the snake itself. If you really feel the need to get rid of it I would call someone who knows what they're doing.
