Here is another source of "vacation food". Look up NASCO's Turtle Brittle. It was developed by the Atlanta Zoo and is used to feed box turtles in many large collections. If it is soaked then combined with chopped vegetable, a leafy green and fruit. it's a complete diet. It'll save your neighbor have having to deal with bugs, lol!
