I recieved my now adult male dragon in the middle of a blizzard in march. He was very cold and the packaging wasn't even close to insulating enough. This is probably why he's so prone to getting sick cos he was extremely cold on arrival.

BUT... at work we recieve lizards in January with no problems because the dealer ships them in insulated containers with heat pads in them. It really depends on the care the person sending it takes.

I'd recommend trying to find a breeder in your area at least tho. January is a cold place. A breeder will be able to provide a healthier animal than a pet shop (99.9% of the time) and will know it's history.
