If we cant joke around here, within our hobby, where can we do it? I agree with some other posts, everyone has morphs! LOL without proving them. Everyone is naming something, without taking years of proving them out. As I recall, when someone finds a "New Morph" they keep it secret until they can prove them out. Its ok to show your snakes, but you should know what genetics you are dealing with before naming it. Unless you have an obvious variation, like a butter, platty daddy, or something truely visual, you should not name it, and you should not yipe it up as a new morph. It ruins your credibility. I hope your feelings are not hurt, that was not our intention. Even if your pictures were better, you are asking an entire forum community to validate your claim to fame with a new variety of ball that looks totally normal. As a breeder, I have several "New Morph Projects" that I have years vested in, but I will not disclose to the public what they are until I know for sure. Take the big guys as an example; RDR's Phantom - in the works for at least 4 years, GCR and Cypress Creek - Vanilla and Lightning in the works for at least 5 years, Ian and his new Yellow Jacket, Amir with his mocha, etc. Your snakes are beautiful, but until you prove them out, they are just normals. Just have fun with this hobby, try to make some babies, cross your fingers, and if you can make money with what you have, it makes the hobby that much sweeter. If you put yourself out there to possible criticism, and even a bit of sarcasm, then you should be able to roll with the punches. Dont take things too personal, at the end of the day, we should just have fun with it. Hope your projects are successful, and take this as newbie hazing from some old timers! LOL. [ Hide Replies ]
