That feeding schedule sounds perfect to me. I don't always follow the "rules" though... This is what I did.
I fed my hatchlings 2x a week. I fed them Monday and Friday. If you are not carefull you will over feed them. It is important to note that I fed them INappropriate sized meals. I fed them a smaller pinky on Monday and a VERY small pinky on Friday. It is my belief that you can't over-feed a hatchling since all of their energy is used for growth. I also believe that MORE smaller meals are more easily digested than ONE large meal. I don't condone this feeding schedule through the entire snakes life. Your snake will get fat and have a lower quality of life. Most people go by the 1 meal every 5-7 days "rule" but my method has worked great for me. Also, note that there is a fine line between keeping a snake well fed and power feeding. It is your responsability to examine your snakes growth rate and decide what is best for the snake. If you think the schedule you're on is too much.....slow it down. Your snake will give you hints when it is time to eat. With Hope....
