Okay... I have had my desert iguana for about a year now and he/she (??) has been acting strange lately and it has me a little concerned. First of all, it is a very picky eater and has been since I first got him/her. I feed a varied diet that consists of high quality greens with the occasional crickets when he/she shows an interest in them. Temps are good... the basking spot get to between 110-115 degrees. I'll be honest... I need a new UVB bulb cuz this one I have is definitely over 6 months old and most likely doesn't produce much UVB anymore. I also make sure I am supplementing/dusting the majority of meals that I offer.



So, here is my concern.... he/she barely has any appetite these days and deosn't show much interest in anything that I offer him/her to eat, which includes a long time favorite, mustard greens. Also, doesn't show much interest in crickets at this time either. He/she doesn't appear to be overly skinny and is very active in the early afternoon... However, I usually find him/her asleep by 5:00pm and it seemed like he/she wouldn't sleep until later in the night previously.



Any idea what is going on? I am concerned that he/she is perhaps not getting enough to eat. Do you think it would be a good idea to get another desert iguana to give the one I already have some company?
