I was talking to Sean about this and he was thinking that there might be another gene in there that influences the stripe to be "perfect". So instead of a gene causing the stripe to be broken, it would be a lack of this "special gene" that would be causing the broken striping. Anyways, it's just a hypothesis. Hopefully future breeding attempts/trials will shed some more light on this.

We did hatch out a perfect stripe sibling to these two "cryptic" Stripes I posted photos of. It's crazy how much variety there is in this clutch. The "perfect" Striped individual also has a diminished stripe pattern. It's hard to describe so I'll snap some photos of it later on.
