If the female albino is ready to go now, why not put that male with her if you want a snow? The reason I say go for it is simple. If you breed the male to normals this year and produce hets you will have another 2 1/2 years before you even know if he is an axanthic for sure. Then if he proves out you are still another 2 1/2 -3 1/2 years from trying for your snows. So in the meantime after all this breeding you have been doing to prove out your guy you end up finding out he was an axanthic like you thought to begin with and you are kicking yourself because you could have had snow's in 2 1/2 years not 5 1/2 years. The only reason I would pass up the possible axanthic x albino breeding is if I had a pied, black pastel, spider or genetic stripe to put with her this year. [ Hide Replies ]
