Hello I have a question for you guyes out there. I have a 03 female dh snow that I bred to my male 03 dh snow. She is 7 feet long and has great muscle mass to her. She was bred for at least a month solid by my male. I was almost 100% sure that she was gravid and had her p.o.s. shed one july 1. So I was expecting her to give birth somewhere around october 15? Everything seemed to be going great. She was showing signs of being gravid and is spending 80% of her time on the warm end of her boaphile cage and is also spending alot of time coiled up tight. I would offer her a very small meal every 2 weeks or so and she would only take it about half of the time. This is another reason why I think she is gravid because before breeding she was a savage feeder. I could also see her expanding about 2/3 of the way down her body and she had not eaten anything sufficiant. Well here is my question. Now today I go into the snake room and it appers that she is going into a shed. She is getting opaque. Does this mean that she is not gravid after all? Has anyone had this happen before. I was under the impressions that a gravid female doesnt have a shed while pregnant? Any help would be greatly apreciated.
thank you very much,
Ken
