I'm hesitant to offer advice when I don't know what's wrong. But, I don't think that putting a small amount of neosporin or betadine on the wound could hurt. If the wound is due to a bacterial infection or was caused by some sort of trauma (rodent bite, rubbing on cage or cage funiture...etc) then this will help. If the wound is due to a fungus or virus, these medications won't help.



I'd like to hear some other opinions as well. In the meantime, your snake is probably not in any immediate danger. I'd still wait to see what it looked like after the shed.
