what Do I feed a young black rat snake

I recently caught A young black rat snake and I want to know what I can feed it Its about 2ft log and as big around as three pencils when you squeeze them into a circle. I know I should'nt keep wc snakes but I have wanted a snake that grew kinda large that I could keep outside for awhile and now Ive found one and black rat snakes are hard to find.
