That paper laid some of the groundwork for what appeared in the Utiger paper. Decent arguements were made in both papers and I support the splitting of the genus as Utiger has proposed it. Cladistics is a very fluid study. As new techniques become available our knowledge of various species relations to each other becomes more well known and through that, some of these relationships naturally have to be re-evaluated. | ||
