need advice

Hi, I'm expecting my 4 in cb Nevada chuck in a few days and would appreciate any tips or advice. This is my first chuck and I'm hoping to be able to handle him often so he becomes very tame. I have not been able to find many care sheets on chucks so any info would be very helpful. At 4 in can I put him on washed playsand? Also any tips on feeding would be great since he may not want to eat much after being shipped. I read 100 for a basking temp. What about the cool side? Also should water be left out for babies? At 4 in how old will my chuck most likely be? At what size can they be sexed? Does anyone know of a good website to get chuck info?
