Hi!
I don't really post on here, just read up... but I do use CO2 on my mice and rats, it works great, but doesn't seem as easy on the rodents as they say in my readings. Even on low output the sound and first scent of the co2 scares them and they frenzy a bit. They gasp a little before finally passing on. Still the best thing I think.
I picked up a canister and a connector, had it filled and refilled, at a local outdoors recreation/painball store. You may have to have the connector, that you are able to put a rubber/plastic hose over, ordered in if you need it. It costs differently for each size canister and refill obviously, but is fast and easy way to put down large or singer quantities of animals.
It is also less personal for you... I've had to kill my own rats forever and it can be so heartbreaking. I also freeze my own using the same method to kill in case I ever run low on the size I need and the petstores are out, even though I also hate to wait on thawing.
Take care, hope this helps!
