but I think it is the Orangetail/Gee line that holds the pattern. My only Hypo is a Gee line and she has a very broad saddled pattern. Salmons tend to reduce pattern and cause abberancies, which is bad if you want to keep a classic Motley pattern.

It all depends on how the Hypo line you are using was selectively bred.
