The Hypo Motleys are EXREEMLY varying and it has NOTHING to do with what line of Hypo is used. Salmon/Gee etc... This year and last year I used Both with the Motley and I have produced a HUGE variance in pattern of the Hypo Motley. My first ever Hypo Motleys were made with an Orange tail, and none of them were "Strong in Motley Pattern".

I produced the Dame that Chris used in his Hypo Motley litter, and I can say without a doubt that it is Random. Chris has the golden goose at his house. Every thing that dude touches turns into gold. I would love to go to Vegas with Chris if I gambled. LOL (Just kidding Chris)

Many of My Hypo Motleys this year did retain more pattern, and some did not. If you look at Pete Kahls litters on his birthing record page, he used a CA Motley to a CA Hypo, and NONE of them look to hold the Motley pattern. They have more pattern, and that is because they are CA. I have produced a few that are similar to chris's, but not as close in pattern.

With Numbers to base my opinion on, I'm confident it doesn't matter what Hypo you use. You'll produce Motleys that are WHACKY no matter what. The Hypo gene no matter what bloodline, just makes the Motley pattern go Bizurk. Like Vinnie mentioned, the Hypo Arabesque was the only thing I can say with opinion that makes the Motley pattern come back when you use the Hypo gene. I would like to do some more breedings to see if that holds true, and I will try this year again with that breeding. It was a cool breeding, but they were all still born.

I personally love the Varying looks of the Hypo Motley, but I do think they would be COOL as heck with the Strong Motley pattern too. That is where I'm excited to bring the Carmel Albino VPI line in. I know other people who don't like the Hypo Motley as much as normal Motleys, and that is fine too. Everyone likes different looks and genes. The Color on the Hypo Motleys makes up for the lack or whack of pattern if you ask me too.

My 2 Cents...
